Serving the Community from our Hearts

SF Food Bank

Heart in Motion has teamed up with San Francisco Food Bank to fight hunger year-round.  As an Apple Corps member, HIM has committed to volunteer with SF Food Bank for a year.

Come see what’s in season - from peaches to beans and rice - and get it out the door! Help us sort, package and distribute these nutritious foods for our community.

Welcome to our Illinois Warehouse!

Volunteers will come to the Illinois Warehouse to pack grocery bags, which will be delivered to participants by other volunteers. Warehouse volunteers enter at 1050 Marin St. You can find a map here.

Capacity for each opportunity remains relatively low in order to ensure enough space for social distancing
Orientation and training are included in each shift.
Volunteers MUST be 13 years or older.

  • Closed-toe shoes are required at all volunteer projects. Anyone wearing sandals, flip-flops, or any other shoe with an open toe will not be able to participate in the project.
  • Because you'll be helping to repack food, please wear casual and clean clothing, long pants, securely fastened jewelry, and comfortable (no open-toe) shoes.
