If I was invisible for 10 minutes, I would move things around the school to freak people out. For example, closing opened doors, making a book float, or turning the lights off and on. It seems like a harmless prank and it's only for 10 minutes so everyone would probably forget about it later on. Plus, it'll be interesting to see what would happen and how people would explain their experience.
If I had the power to change one thing in the world, I would make all colleges free because it’s really expensive. Filling out my college application gave me an eye opening experience of the amount of fees I had to pay to apply. Tuition is also expensive in some schools and most people choose not to be apply even if they are qualified because of that. I hope people can choose the colleges they want to attend and not based on expenses.
My ideal way to spend the weekend is going to the mall and shop for things and then buying boba later on. I like shopping for accessories or skincare/makeup stuff because it looks pretty and I'll use it in the future. I also like shopping for kpop albums because I like pulling photocards. There's an album shop at Taraval I go to at least once a month because it's close to my house.
If I could eat one food for the rest of my life, I would eat pasta because there are many types of pasta so I wouldn’t get tired of it so easily. It's also a pretty common food to find in restaurants so it would be easily accessible. Every restaurant probably has their own recipe so it would taste different. Pasta is also cooked differently in different parts of the world so it would be interesting to try them all out.
The most valuable lesson I have learned in my life is to do things a little at a time even if it’s hard. By doing things little by little over a period of time, you will reach your goal one day. I apply this to school assigments or projects. I like to do things a little at a time so I don't have to rush or stress myself later on.
If all jobs had the same pay and hours I would like to be a barista or someone who makes boba. I've seen videos online of baristas and boba makers and it looks very fun. I drink boba pretty often so I want to learn how to make it. It also seems fun to make orders for other people.
Something that motivates me is the fact that I can help out the community and meet people who has the same mindset as well. Waking up early also makes me feel productive especially if I'm volunteering for an event. The fact that we're helping out also makes me feel responsible. Waking up early for a Charity Run doesn't feel like a chore but rather a fun opportunity to help out and reconnect with friends as well.
The event I looked the most forward to was the Escape from Alcatraz triathlon. It lived up to my expectations because it was really fun and I got to meet new people. Looking through files was a very fun and relaxing task. I like that we got to help out as a community.
My experience with HIM has been good so far. I got to participate in events that helped out the community and I enjoyed it. Every event was really organized and well planned out. The group leaders also took care of the volunteers very well. In the future, I hope to experience more fun events with HIM.
Heart in Motion has given me an opportunity to give back to my community. I’ve gotten to help out at these charity races and show support for the runners. It’s also given me a sense of responsibility to commit and do my part. The volunteer hours are long and require a lot of tiring hard work, but I’ve learned to take this as an experience to learn and grow from. I’ve also gotten to meet so many new people and become reconnected with people I might never have seen again without HIM.
