I don’t really visit websites, but if I would have to choose one that I visited, it would be the HIM website. I go on the website to apply for new events and see what events I have applied for. I would look back and relive the memories I had when I volunteered at that event. It reminds me how thrilling it is to volunteer.
My sister, parents, and friends. They all helped me get through my day or whenever I’m stuck on something. My sister and parents inspire me to be hard working and to always look forward, focusing on a goal. I’ve always thought of them as my role models. My friends inspire me to not be afraid to open up to others and socialize more.
I would spend my time researching on my future career and what I need to learn in high school, so I would be more prepared for college. I would also spend my time with my friends and family. My friends helps me regain my motivation to do anything even though it is hard. I would go outside more because it’s always good to relax once in awhile.
Something people might misunderstand about me is that not everyone can open up to others easily. It can take time and it also takes courage. I think it is very important that people would understand and consider people’s boundaries and feelings. Many people might not ever open up to you, but that’s okay! You can always try again and support them.
I would tell my family, friends and everyone that I know and tell them that I had a really great time with them and I hope that they would pursue their dreams and reach their goals. I would also say, be the motivation. Always have a strong mindset when you’re in school or future jobs. I would also tell them that, I believe in you guys.
I cannot live without books, technology and my sister. Book are what keeps me busy at home when I’m bored. I would read books that I borrowed from the library. Technology because it’s what can connect me to my friends and people that I am close with. My sister because she’s always there to support me and helps me when I needed.
I would make a rule that you shouldn’t force someone to do something or push them into talking. It doesn’t make the community like we wanted. We want a safe and respectful environment, so other would feel comfortable opening up to one another. It is important to ask them for consent before you do something.
Waking up and tell myself that it would be fun, and that I can do anything I want after that. I would also say, it’s for your education and that it is important to you. You shouldn’t be lazy, but be productive. Not everyday you can get a chance like this. You can always relax the next day.
It has changed my views on how fun it is to volunteer. Even though it’s cold or hot, it’s always fun to do it with friends and just interact with others. Volunteering also can increase your communication skills if you want to improve them, as well as connecting with the community. HIM helped me open up to others more and not be afraid to strike a conversation.
I think that HIM Internship Program is a great place for you to gain new experiences and potentially make new friends. It is also a great place to learn about the department and how HIM works. It also benefits you in high school. HIM Internship Program Managers are also very informative. You can always reach out to one of them and they will always answer your questions.
Some rules would be, respect each others profile, race/gender, and culture. You might not relate to them, but it is what they chose, not you. I would also add, be respectful. It’s a common rule, but I think that it’s a powerful rule that everyone should follow.
I want to be remembered for being a sympathetic person. I want to help others by making them feel welcomed and help them reach their goals. I want to support my peers. I think it’s important that everyone is included in projects, work, or anything.
