If I were invisible for 10 minutes I would split the time by spending half of it surprising someone with a special gift and the other half playing tricks on my friends. We like to joke around with each other. It would be so funny!
If I had the power to change one thing in the world, it would be for everyone to have their basic needs met. There are so many people that are homeless and hungry. I would love to be able to end homelessness and food insecurity.
My ideal way to spend a weekend would be for me to have the opportunity to do a bunch of things I enjoy. I’d spend time with family and friends, go to practices, and participate in a volunteer project. I’d also find some downtime to relax and get ready for the next week.
If I could only eat one food for the rest of my life, it would be pasta. I love pasta! It’s very versatile and can be made into an appetizer, salad, or an entree with lots of different ingredients mixed with it.
The most valuable lesson I have learned in my life so far is that everyone is unique and has their own story.
What motivates me to wake up early to volunteer is the fun I know I will have once I get there.
I have only participated in one HIM event so far. It was the Bay to Breakers. I have participated in the event as a runner/walker in the past but this is the first time I volunteered for it. It most look forward to people watching and by participating as a volunteer at the finish line, I got to see a lot of people. There were some very interesting costumes. The event lived up to my expectations.
My experience working with HIM has been very positive. I did not know anyone when I signed up but I felt welcomed. I met some people and look forward to seeing them at future events. I enjoyed my experience so much that I ended up applying for the HIM internship!
