Spring '23 Intern B
Lick Wilmerding
Class of 2026
Definitely Pinterest! I love that I can always find new inspiration and ideas to help me map out my thoughts and plans on a fun, creative platform.
My teachers are a tremendous source of inspiration for me, especially when I can see how passionate they are about their subject. It's so amazing to find a person who is genuinely dedicated to making a positive impact on their students' lives and the broader world. Some of my most formative memories were in the classroom. I am so grateful for their love, passion, and guidance!
I would spend all my time outdoors in the woods in my neighborhood. A 20-minute walk in nature can change the entire course of my day!
People often think I'm too emotional or sensitive, but really I think our emotions are a way to connect with others and emphasize with their experiences
I would try and arm-wrestle my friend one more time to see if I could win. Hopefully, if I was about to die, they would finally let me win.
I could not live without my two guinea pigs, Mocha and Latte. I always come home after school or practice and wind down by taking care of them.
HIM is giving me numerous ways to get involved in my local community and inspired me to recruit my peers to join the team! Beyond that, despite not yet being done with the internship program, I've already picked up valuable organizational skills and learned the inner-working of a non-profit organization. I've gained hands-on experience in so many online platforms, designed promotional flyers, collaborated with other interns and so much more!
Overall, I'm just so amazed at how everyone in the program is so friendly and supportive! I really appreciate their willingness to give the interns guidance and overall, just create a super positive and informative experience.
Empathy, creativity, and authenticity.
