The website that I would visit the most often, would have to be a toss up between Spotify or YouTube. I use both of these websites pretty often. I listen to music when doing homework and throughout the day while YouTube is one of my most used entertainment websites. But if I had to choose one, it would have to be Spotify because without music I don't think I would be the same person.
The people that inspire me to be the person today would have to be the friends and family I surround myself around. I pride myself on being able to keep great relations with each and every one of them. Family members helped shape me into the friendly, respectful person that I am today. As for friends, they allowed me to express my humor, knowledge, and gratitude to each and everyone of them.
If I could spend all of my time in a specific place, It would have to be San Francisco. The city holds a special place in my heart. I believe there are still a bunch of spots that I haven’t been too. Overall, San Francisco is just a place that I imagine that I will be staying at for a very long time after college.
One thing that people misunderstand about me would be that I look and seem really mean unwelcoming, and uninterested. My overall outside image presents someone that just doesn't look really interested in meeting new people while on the inside, I'm the complete opposite person. I am really nice, welcoming and just someone who you would want to hang around. I am also the person that can relate to anything and I am also a good resource for help of any kind, ranging from anything academic to psychological stuff.
If I knew that I was going to die in an hour, I would say goodbye to each and everyone that served a purpose in my life. I would have my favorite meal as my last meal and just hang out with the people that I love. While eating and saying goodbye, I would do all of my favorite activities for the last time. When the time comes to when I do have to leave, I would simply come to terms with my death as there would be nothing that I could do to stop it from happening.
Besides basic necessities, something that I cannot live without for a day would be the friends I surround myself with. I value each of them very highly and attempt to be the best person that I can be when around them. Not only would I lose the people that I can trust, I would also lose a part of myself. Each of them hold sentimental values to myself and I honestly couldn't imagine a life without them present.
I guess a rule that I would make would be more gun restriction laws and background checks. I would like to say for all of the students across the world, that we would want schools to be a safe place rather than living in fear of a potential school shooter. Not only would it make schools much safer but I would imagine overall crime rates/murder rates would drop making the world a much safer place like the many activists ahead had wanted. The streets would be a much safer place along with gang violence diminishing across the world.
Something that motivates me to wake up early to volunteer for events, would just be the ability to help out the people in need, and in this case, Charity Run organizers and all of the runners. Another driving force, would be the friends that are also helping to volunteer, as being able to see people familiar really helps with these kinds of events. The idea of being able to achieve the PVSA is also another source of motivation for me. As I finish the final half of Junior year I am attempting to get as many volunteer hours, and the PVSA is something that I believe will help boost the chances of me being able to get into my college of choice.
HIM has affected my life so far, by providing a chance for me to help out all event coordinators that keep the city events active. In doing so it also provides a chance to put a bunch of things on my college application which will inevitably help with my future endeavors. Seeing old faces and meeting new people during events is also another factor that affected my life. I am grateful to be apart of the HIM program/organization and am willing to put forth my best efforts in order to have it affect more of my life in a positive way.
My personal thoughts about the HIM Internship Program would be pretty good comments. The structure of the entire system is clear of flaws and the sections aren't too hard to learn. The activities we also interesting as they allowed us to practice the eventual stuff that we needed to do in order to be apart of leaderships. I enjoyed learning about all of the possible positions and responsibilities that each specific section of HIM offers.
If life is a game, then some of the rules would be made would have to be revolved around safety for everyone. One could be like the aforementioned gun restriction laws. Another would be like better and more affordable health care for everyone. Everyone would need to work for everything that they want and can't find any short cuts, committing to the period of time that they spend to achieving ones goals. Everyone would have a voice, like everyone has equal power to prevent any dictatorship regimes, authoritarian governments or any form of corruption.
This isn't something that I genuinely think about but I would want to be remembered for being the best person that you can have as a friend. As well as being the most helpful person. All of the traits that have been mentioned before help serve a case towards these specific goals. They may be out of reach now but I hold myself to a pretty high standard so I would imagine that these are in reach but a lot of work is needed to be put in, in order to be able to achieve such recognition.
