I would definitely mess around with my friends and little sisters by moving objects and writing phrases on paper or in their mirrors to creep them out. I also would perhaps spy on my family, friends, and some of my favorite music artists.
I would get rid of cancer. Cancer has taken many of my loved ones away and I see many people suffering everyday because they have it or because they have a loved one who does. It especially hurts my heart to see innocent children struggling with it and knowing that there are people out there fighting for their lives everyday. Cancer sucks.
I love to go on walks with my mom and sisters so it would include taking a morning hike, and then going to an amusement park with my friends. I love roller coasters so much because it makes you feel so free and like you're on top of the world. But honestly, an ideal weekend would just be me spending time with my loved ones and getting some good sleep. That's the best!
This one's hard, I always say pasta but if I were to actually be honest it would for sure be mango. I know it's not technically like a meal but man I can eat mango everyday and never get sick of it, or pineapples! I love fruit.
Therapist, I feel like there are so many people who need to be heard and I want to make people know that they can get through whatever it is that they are going through. I want to help others the way I wish I could have been helped when I was at my worst. I feel like being able to help people in that way would definitely fulfill my purpose in life.
Knowing that by volunteering I am helping a good cause and being able to connect with people and friends really motivates me to get up. All the runners and volunteers are so kind and it's such a nice warm community that it makes you want to get up because you get to socialize with many different kinds of people. Also, knowing that I have to get out of my comfort zone because I know that by doing this it's helping me with future jobs and networking.
I really looked forward to the Hot Chocolate run because that's how I discovered Heart in Motion, by seeing one of my friends post about it on social media. It looked so cool, fun, and I loved how everything revolved around chocolate! I was eager to help prepare the hot chocolate and other chocolate treats! When it finally came to the event, it was such a nice sunny day but still pretty breezy so the hot chocolate was perfect for it. Seeing all the runners smile made me really happy.
It's been great! I love how I can volunteer in the same group with my friends and we can reconnect with each other but still provide help for the events. It's allowed me to grow as a person and I am so thankful for this organization.
Heart in Motion has helped me in so many different ways, but overall it really has helped me get out of my comfort zone. There are many times where we are told to tell people to walk to certain areas, help them with locations, or just be warm and friendly. This really allowed me to mature and not be afraid to talk to people. It also really helped me learn how fun it can be connecting with your community.
