Summer '21 B Intern
Lincoln High School
Class of 2024
I check my Gmail more often since the school year has already begun and my teachers and I communicate through this app. I also use Workplace/Work Chat and Discord more regularly to communicate with HIM and with my friends.
To be honest, there’s no one that I've ever considered to be my role model in my life yet. However, I do follow the teachings of Jesus since I’m Catholicism. I have church school every Sunday where I learn about the good deeds and things we shouldn’t do. It for sure helped me change myself a lot. I became a more open-minded person and think more for others now.
If I have a day where I don’t have anything to do, I absolutely will spend all of that time on the books I received from the SFPL. All of them are great books but I’ve just never had enough time to enjoy them. I’ll save some time to bake, too. It has been a while since I didn't make anything for my family and myself. I’m looking forward to making coffee buns once again.
Some people think that I’m Chinese when they see me. I guess that's because my dad was half Chinese and half Vietnamese so my face looks a bit like Chinese, but I’m 100% Vietnamese. Some people would run to me and start to speak in Chinese with me, and then I found myself surprised when I told them that I don’t understand what they are saying. I didn’t mind because I get it, but I realized how powerful knowing another language can be however, especially Chinese or Spanish. I’m planning to take Spanish in CCSF if I have time this upcoming summer.
It’s a very tricky question to answer because I have never thought about this, and it sounds so sad lol. One of the things I for sure will do is ask one person out immediately to hang out with them and tell them all of the things I didn’t have a chance to reveal earlier.
When I wake up as a new day starts, I always have some motivations and goals to look up to, too. It helps me move forward. It’s like energy to me, a reason why I should be happy and try hard once again. Goals make me feel cheerful when I reach them and help me overcome them when I fall down. Therefore, beside all of the necessities, I would say I cannot live without any motivation or goals left in myself.
Thinks your stereotypes about others out loud.
Helping others is one of the motivations that has helped me stand up and go turn off the alarm rings in the early morning. Another motivation that I would have come from the President’s Volunteer Service Award that I really want to earn by the end of the year hehe.
I got a chance to learn a little about different departments.
HIM Internship Program is a very helpful non profit organization that helps young people like me step out of the box that we feel comfortable staying in. It has already helped me improve my speaking skills with strangers a little bit and be more active under any circumstances. I’m looking forward to gaining more essential skills over the next few months.
You did something wrong, you will get punish.
I want to be remembered who I am.
