If I became invisible right now, I would take the time to explore the city more. Though I have been living in SF for nearly my entire life, I haven't gotten the chance to see everything the city has to offer. It is currently night for me, and I think it would be interesting to view SF as it would normally be dangerous to go out at night. Since I would be invisible, I'm pretty much free to explore without the worry.
An ideal way for my to spend the weekend would be to balance social activities, hobbies, and self care. I like to spend most of my weekend relaxing, such as reading a book or watching videos. I try to make some time for my hobbies, such as drawing, playing music, and baking. If I have the energy, I hope to go outside with family or friends and get some physical activity in or just to socialize.
I would eat pasta or noodles because they are like a blank canvas. There are so many variations of pasta and it goes well with many flavors. I find it very tasty and filling, so I don't think I would go hungry if I chose to eat pasta for the rest of my life.
One of the most valuable lessons I've learned in life is to try to have a positive mindset. Everyone goes through struggles and hardships, and it can be easy to only focus on those. However, I learned that there are many great things I can appreciate and focus on. If I come across something difficult along the way, I try to find the positive in it, which will increase the chance of improving my mood.
If all jobs had the same pay and hours, I would like to be a baker and own a bakery. Baking and cooking are one of my favorite activities to do in my free time. I love working together when making food, and who doesn't like eating freshly baked goods? Owning a bakery means that I get to make other people happy with food, and I could use the leftovers to donate or enjoy them with my family.
An event I looked forward to was the Hot Chocolate Run back in January of 2020. I was excited for the event because I heard that there were students from other clubs and schools who were helping out, and I had a few friends I haven't seen in a long time volunteer as well. I think the event lived up to my expectations because it was quite fun. It was really cold during the mornings, so I really liked hand warmers were provided. We helped organize snacks and hot chocolate for the runners to enjoy.
My experience working with HIM has been rewarding so far. Being a volunteer was a great experience because it allowed me to meet new people, collaborate with students in the Bay Area, and help in a variety of events. Since I've joined HIM's Leadership program, I really got to see what it was like running a non-profit organization and how important teamwork is. Working with the Leadership team in HIM has been a fun and great learning experience.
HIM allowed me to gain a lot of skills, which include organization, collaboration, and public speaking. As a volunteer and a member of Leadership, I learned the importance of having effective communication and good teamwork to get tasks done efficiently. I worked in groups with varying numbers of people, which helped me to gain more confidence in presenting in front of an audience. Best of all, HIM brings a great community together.
