I most often visit Instagram on my phone and my computer because it is now the main platform I communicate with my friends on. Instagram has substituted the Messages and Phone app on my phone. Scrolling through the explore page is a great way to spend time when I feel as if I have nothing to do. I spend hours just on this site, and I hope that I'll one day start using other sites to communicate as well.
My parents have told me since I was young to go out and do something that would make myself proud. They are the most hardworking people I know, and I aspire to be like them. I want to work my way to success. That is why I am currently looking for activities and finding new subjects I'm interested in, in hopes to have a clue of what I want to be in the future.
Spending time with friends and family sounds great, but if we're talking about a place, I would want to spend time in a library full of interesting books. Reading is my favorite hobby, and the only reason why I don't read when I have nothing else to do is because I don't have a good book, or I don't have enough resources from home to find one. I want to be able to browse through the shelves in the library for as long as I can. They're also usually quiet, which can either calm me or annoy me depending on how quiet it is. A library is like my haven.
When I mention that I'm an only child, many people say that I'm lucky. In truth, it's actually a little lonely. I feel like they say that because they think that I'm fortunate to currently not have to share my things and be annoyed by someone. Sure, I don't have to worry about that, but what about the future? I know that in the future, those people who thought I was fortunate will be happy that they have someone to depend on. That's when they'll realize that being an only child isn't that great.
If I knew I would die in an hour, I would first text my friends, telling them that I was honored to be part of the friend group. I would then call my parents, telling them that I was grateful to be raised by such caring parents, and that I appreciated everything they did for me. If I had any fights or grudges with anyone, I would try my best to settle them. With the remaining time, I would lock myself in my room and listen to my favorite songs until my time is up.
Due to Covid-19, everything is virtual, and because everything is virtual, it all needs to be done on a device. The one device I can no longer live without is my laptop. I mostly talk to friends using my phone, but my schoolwork and lessons which can only be done on the computer are more important. Without my laptop, I would not be able to turn in assignments, attend Zoom meetings, or read.
If I could, I would prohibit everyone from smoking. I don't know anyone who smokes, but I see a lot of people on the streets who do. I know by doing so, they are raising the risks to cancer and health issues. If everyone didn't smoke, their lungs would all be healthier, and the streets wouldn't be littered with cigarettes.
Waking up early isn't something I do regularly, so when I do, it feels surreal. I wake up looking forward to an opportunity to work with others and contribute to the community. The idea that I have a small part or role in the community excites me, and makes me feel proud of myself. In addition, I feel useful and accomplished.
Heart in Motion has definitely made me more responsible and independent. Before I joined HIM, I didn't have many experiences where I learned to make decisions myself, so I relied on my parents to, for example, set and change my schedules. I'm now a lot more comfortable with adjusting my schedule for my own convenience and to prioritize what needs to be prioritized on my own. I'm no longer dependent on them to help me do those minor things.
I genuinely enjoy the Heart in Motion Internship program. I like to think of it as a chance to see the "behind the scenes" of all the events and the organization itself. It's a great opportunity to experience and learn about how the different elements function and come together to form Heart in Motion. I learned many things about HIM.
The fundamental rules of life are our laws. Don't commit crimes, don't intentionally hurt others, and be truthful. Some other rules may be to be kind, do everything you can to help others, and to eat, sleep, and work. A few of these rules are closer to objectives, but they should be followed.
I want to be remembered differently depending on different people. I want to be remembered by my friends as someone they could always count on when in need of help. I want to be remembered by my teachers as a student who always had motivation to learn. I also want to be remembered by society for inspiring or contributing to something new.
